There's confidence and then there's failure to pay attention.

Wait. Did the series end already? I mean, I'm confident that my team can win this series but that's because we have 1 win to go and 3 games to do it. The odds are good. Not great, but good. However, giving the Philadelphia Inquirer the benefit of the doubt, how can they not have someone checking this stuff? Remember in 2003 when the grounds crew at Fenway put the World Series logo on the field behind home plate?
Oversight is a good thing. Consider this a humorous moment to lighten up your day.

I have to admit, both the "Philadelphia Inquirer" and MLB.com both got as bit of good sized egg on their faces recently.
But when you also throw a big advertiser like Macys into the mix, you can bet someone in some department is trolling the want ads right now.
Sure MLB.com might have had Yankee World Series T-shirts before they finished off the Angels, but this advert is a front and center insult right down to the middle of it all.
I understand the ad was proofed by a higher up in the Advertising department of the "Inquirer", but it made headlines that might appear in that other....."Enquirer".
But sometimes a team says something in the course of preparing for a game that the other team can use as bulletin board fodder for motivation.
I do not think that was the intention, but if the Yankees come out looking for runs on the first pitch.............It will be an interesting Game 6 in the Bronx.

I don't know if I'd call it an insult, but I do think it's a case of putting the cart before the horse. Maybe they placed the ad on purpose, maybe it was meant to run after the series was over if they won and it got put in there on accident....who knows. I thought it was funny.

I do hope that the Yankees have used whatever smack-talk they've heard over the last 5 games to pump them up for this game. The stadium will be rocking.

I saw that ad on Facebook a couple days ago. I personally thought it was hilarious. Congrats to the YANKEES on THEIR World Championship. LOL. Nice blog, by the way... :)

The T-shirt is really intriguing so I’ve also check it out in my Facebook. Well, at least it is not shocking as Brandon Spikes eye gouging video which the University of Florida has announced that he will be suspended for one half. And also find it was hilarious and fun. Good work here! I would also extend my deeply and heart-whelming congratulations to the YANKEES on THEIR World Championship. You make us proud, ONCE AGAIN! =))
