27 out of 28 first place votes.....I think that's pretty definitive. Mark Teixeira came in 2nd place, Derek Jeter came in 3rd place and Miguel Cabrera came in 4th, getting the other first place vote. Which makes no sense. I could see giving Mark or Derek a first place vote.....but the guy in 4th? Stupid.

I know what you mean, we've seen poor choices made in this award voting, but at least this year they got it right.

sigh... i'm not saying mauer didn't deserve it, but it just makes me sad that for whatever reason, i think no matter what and how GREAT and amazing of a season derek has, he'll never get the proper respects (votes) as the awesome player that he is...
