So we're looking at basically the same roster as the previous two series, only Bruney and Hinske have been added in place of Guzman and Cervelli.  I like this for a couple of reasons.  One, we need an extra arm in the bullpen and Bruney scares me no more than Marte does.  A couple times during the ALCS we almost ran out of pitchers because of extra-innings games, and if a game goes deep....I don't want to think about Nick Swisher having to start again.  Two, if we need a PR for speed in later innings, Hairston and Gardner can fill that role just fine.  Hinske adds some nice pop off the bench.

Also, the rotation appears to be the same as the ALCS, with CC, AJ and Andy pitching two games at most.  Girardi has not said yet what he will do for Game 4 and beyond and I'd imagine a lot of that has to do with what the series looks like [whether we're tied or up or down] and what the weather looks like.  I have a feeling though, CC is pitching Games 1, 4 and 7 and the other 4 games will get divvied up between our remaining starters + Gaudin.  As for what my optimal rotation would be, here's how I'd do it:

CC
AJ
Andy
CC
AJ
Andy
CC

Yes that has all of them pitching on short rest at least once, with CC pitching on short rest twice, but I would slot Gaudin in for Game 5 if we're up in the series.  If we're tied 2-2 or down 1-3 going into Game 5, AJ has to start.
