The New York Yankees: 2009 American League Champions
Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? This is the Yankees' 40th American League pennant and more than half the times they've won the pennant, they've won the World Series as well. So we have a good track record with that. I'm glad they were able to clinch at home, in the new stadium and in front of their fans......what can be better than that?
Also, some programming notes. Today I'll be posting pics from the locker room celebrations after the game and tomorrow, I'll put up the Official 2009 World Series post, with the schedule, potential pitching match-ups and TV/radio information. Also, that post will for you, the faithful Yankees Chick readers, to give us your predictions for how the series turns out. Phillies fans are welcome of course, just remember whose house you're in.

Congrats to the Yankees, they deserve to celebrate in fact so much so they should go on a beer and pizza binge for 24 hours , since this will hopefully be the last celebration of the year for them...LOL
