13 years is a pretty good run.

The Yankees were officially eliminated from the playoffs tonight.  I don't feel as upset about it as I would have if we were much closer and were in it for a majority of the season.  I think right now I am just content that we're finishing the season well.  Rather go out on a high note than a low one.  And I'm very confident that next season will be better.  Hell, the Steinbrenners will only put up with one season of this.  I'm pretty sure the fans feel the same way. 


Having grown up on the North Side of Chicago, I've always had a soft-spot for the Cubbies and that's who I hope wins it all this year.  It's been 100 years......it's about time I think.  Gosh, can you imagine what that city would look like if they win?  I hope to be there if they get to the World Series.  That should be something to see.
