Where is rock bottom?

And are we close to it?  So Moose stinks up the joint and doesn't even last an inning, Derek is taken out of the game with a hand injury of some kind after being hit by a pitch......what next?  Girardi will trip on the stairs running up to take another pitcher out and he'll rip his ACL or something?

Frankly I'm shocked Hank hasn't exploded by now.  They must have him on some powerful drugs to keep him sedate.  Because if his old man was still in charge, he'd be foaming at the mouth and biting people.

On a much happier note though, the sale of our house went through and the Wings are in the Cup finals.  So that's at least making this month seem much better.

BTW, nice bench-clearing brawl, guys.  Way to show that we're not desperate or anything.

Moose did give up 5 hits in two-thirds of an inning and seven runs -only one of which was actually earned. Subtracting all of the unearned runs it becomes a 4-2 game. Still a loss, but perhaps not "as bad." Unfortunately you can give up no earned runs and still lose every darn game. On the flip side, the Orioles did not give up any free passes and turned three double plays. Maybe the bench-clearing brawl will light an inspirational fire............I'm really reaching here. Hope the team can turn all of this around. I wonder if Girardi's job is in jeopardy right now??? Just a thought.

On a brighter note, glad the home sale went through. That's one less worry for the moment.

I wouldn't go as far as saying Moose stunk up the joint. He should've picked up the team after Jeter's poor throw to Giambi. Walking the next guy with the bases laoded wasn't what a pitcher of moose's caliber should have done. Jeter totally blew that play. It would have been 1-0 inning over. a totally different ball game.

And I think we're at rock bottom. But who knows? They always find a way to stink even worse.
