We can't beat Kansas City?

I guess all that offense and decent pitching were just from last night's game, not necessarily something that will continue.  What a wretched, horrible game.  Everyone played like crap; Alex, our defense, our pitching.....I think the only person who had a good game was Derek, and that's because he wasn't even out there.  Speaking of which; if Derek is out for any length of time, rather than risk having Betemit's glove and bat in the lineup every night, do you move Alex to SS?  I know he hasn't played that position since 2003 and that he's bulked up a bit (NATURALLY) in that same span of time, but would it be worth it?  I think Girardi would have balls the size of Jupiter to even suggest it, and for that reason alone I think he should.  I mean, think of the looks of shock and horror that will cloud over the faces of the "Derek Jeter Can Do No Wrong" brigade.  Aside from Derek being injured, Jorge was injured today as well and might be headed to the DL.  Wonderful.

This is a short recap tonight.....can't think of anything else to say.  It seems like all the problems we've had all season so far just came together this afternoon in one amazing bowl of poop.  Sputtering offense, defensive woes, injuries and poor pitching.  Can we win tomorrow night or is that asking too much?  Speaking of asking too much, is there anyway the Tigers can win the next few games THEN go back to s.ucking?  You know, just for me.

Yeah it was a pretty pathetic display. alex came through with the golden sombrero. It's had to believe he's whiffed 5 straight times, 4 straight looking. Pathetic.

I don't know about moving him to SS. If Jeter's injury is long term I think they entertain the thought. You almost have to. Betemit is a liability both in the field and at the plate. I'd be surprised if he lasts the year.
