Suddenly our series with Boston doesn't matter.
Harlan Chamberlain collapses; Joba leaves team
I think it's pretty much self-explanatory. If you pray or if you don't, at least say a few words for Joba and his family. Sometimes things happen that put petty problems and minor issues into perspective; this is one of those times. I hope Harlan pulls through not because we as fans selfishly want Joba to be able to pitch, but because he's a 22 year old kid who has been through enough in life without losing his father on top of it all.

Get well soon! Papa Chamberlain!

yankeeschick - so very well put! i think, of course, selfishly we may want joba back for our love of the game and drive to win.
BUT because he's been SO good, and SO dependable and SO reliable, we've forgotten that he IS just a kid just starting out to make his dream come true and the person who's been with him to help him make his dream come true has been Papa Chamberlain.
Joba and Papa Chamberlain - our hearts are with you! Get well!
