Nuke LaFarnsworth is getting suspended. Good, but......
He wasn't even ejected from the game, but that's not the issue I have with this. He didn't hit anyone. Aardvark hit someone, and Mussina hit someone......neither one of them were ejected or are currently facing any disciplinary action for what they did.
I'm all for application of the rules, provided those rules are applied fairly. Headhunting is completely stupid and unnecessary, so something should be done about that. But if NOT hitting someone garners you a reprimand, so should making contact. Therefore, I want to see Aardsma and Mike Mussina punished as well. Fair is fair. Aardsma hit Alex about a few inches from where Farnsworth threw behind Manny, had he missed Alex......nothing still would have happened. Boston pitchers are very rarely disciplined for hitting our batters, but that's another post. The HP ump didn't see fit to eject him from the game for doing it, which to me means the ump didn't think there was intent to harm. If the ump thought that Farns meant to hit him, but missed, his *****. would have been tossed from the game faster than you can say "Yankee Bob". For once, I'd like to see a Boston pitcher punished for hitting one of our batters.

I think it was stupid to suspend him. However its good for the Yankees not to be tempted to bring this guy into the game for a few days so im not sure if its bad or not.
