Who still likes Hank and Hal?
Apologies for this being a little late; between work and family obligations, I haven't had as much time to write as I once did. But on to the story:

Cashman says: "I no longer have full control"

Well, doesn't this just sound optimistic and sunny. To wit: "When I signed up with this current three-year deal, and this is thelast year of it, it was with full authority to run the entire program.
George (Steinbrenner, the Yankees’ owner) had given me that. But things
have changed in this third year now with the emergence of Hal and Hank
Steinbrenner and that started this winter." Gee, that sounds comforting. Our GM is getting shoved out by the overbearing and pushy sons of our overbearing and pushy owner. Like Brian said, this is his last year and I fully expect him to hit asphalt as soon as the season is over. He's been a great GM for us and I've enjoyed what he's done with this team, but if he's basically being kicked out an open window by Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum, he doesn't need to hang around where he's not wanted. Who will be our GM once he's gone? Hank? If you like the sound of that, you're lying through your teeth. Hank as GM equals more trouble than Britney Spears let loose in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Or any LA city street while driving a car. Take your pick. The point is, I wouldn't trust Hank to run a washing machine, much less this team. I only hope that things get better during this season and they work out a new contract for Brian and he sticks around.
