It's about time Mo came to his senses.  All that's left really is to make sure Andy comes back, and we should be good to go come Spring Training.  Cash et al., need to make that one of their top priorities this off-season.

2008 Yankees staff officially announced

I'm sure some people will complain about the list and find fault with at least one person Joe chose.  I think Joe is surrounding himself with good people and he didn't just go for star power or big names either.  Some of those guys are people he had with him in Florida, Pena is a holdover and Dave Eiland is the guy who worked with our young pitchers in the minor leagues, so having him around will surely be a help to them.  Can't wait for '08 to get here.

Now that Mariano has signed, the Yankees need to focus on the rest of the bullpen as well. Nuke and Viz don't exactly inspire confidence, although Nuke was actually decent in the second half when Joba's work threatened to turn Nuke into Yankees glue.

I couldn't agree more about 2008. 87 days until pitchers and catchers report...

Gosh, is it really 87 days? I don't think February 14th can get here fast enough.

Good to go? With the same team that got blown out the playoffs this year only now a year older. How can that be good to go?

Good to go = nothing left for us to do. I'd rather start the season with what we finished with rather than head into a season with a team that's barely recognizable. We would have advanced if Wang hadn't blown both his starts. It was the pitching that killed us this year, not necessarily the offense. There's not much out there for us to acquire, especially after spending as much as we did lock up Mo, Jorge and Alex. So yes, once we sign Andy, we'll be good to go. Meaning again, we'll have done all that we needed to do during this off-season with what was available to us.

Unless you seem to think you can do Cashman's job better.

I think we are good to go too. Beth you are right, it's about the pitching. Last year our pitching was up in the air, but now our rotation is set for the future. These guys are going to need some time, but I think things look great for us in that area. Our bullpen and bringing Andy back are the only things that need finished.
