Is Alex on his way back?
Dear God, I hope so.

I know what some people will shout. "He wanted to leave! He opted out! He hates us!" Whatever, I don't care. I want to win. I want a good team on the field next season. Without Alex.....we have neither of those things. Will we win the World Series? **** if I know, but I do know that we're a **** of a lot more competitive with him than we are without him. I am sure there will be people beating their chests, screaming that the Yankees caved in. Good. I hope they do. I hope they sign him and I get to watch him in my team's uniform for the rest of his career. Live with the drama. I'd rather win with some bitching than lose with everyone singing Kumbaya and holding hands like it's a **** Girl Scout Jamboree.

If Boras sits this out, even better. Keep him out of the negotiations, have Alex sign on the dotted line, sign Mo to a contract and then let's all relax until February 14th. That would be a nice capper to this off-season. I am more than certain I'll be getting the requisite "I don't want him/he's not wanted here/tell him to go screw" comments, and that's cool. If that's how you really feel, express it. However, be reminded that we should want the good of the team to come first....who the **** are we going to get to adequately replace him not only in the field, but at the plate? Miguel Cabrera is about 40 pounds overweight and getting fatter every year, Mike Lowell......eff no. Joe Crede? Do any of those people equal an A-Rod? SIGN HIM CASH, SIGN HIM NOW.

I think he may be using the YANKEES....after all the more teams that show interest the more he can get a bigger payday. He can have teams playing with stress and competition. I think he should have had enough RESPECT for the yankees then to AT LEAST save them the money the rangers were forking over. He had a great year but it didnt get them there. MIKE LOWELL would be a good move lol....

John Sterling said that he was 101% sure that arod would be a Yankee next year and he said that he had a reliable source what ever that is worth. I don't think that even arod would say something like what he said unless he plans to be back as a Yankee.

I for one hope he signs with the Yankees again.
However how can he hope to increase his pay? The Rangers $21 mil is gone with the opt-out. So the Yankees will have to deliver a mountain of greenbacks just to resign him at his present pay and it's unlikely the Players Union would let "the best player in baseball" sign for a pay cut.
I wonder how much he could get in Japan?
