you always crack me up...thanks!
how bout it? we're coming up on them fast...they gotta be worried in beantown!
Ha ha ha! What a great pic! I know we should always strive for division and not wildcard, but also a thanks to Milwaukee for helping us with Detroit in that department! =)
Terrific visual, Beth. 7.5 back with 98 games to play really isn't so daunting. No easy task for sure, but having already gained 7 games in just over two weeks is an outstanding accomplishment. Let's just keep it going, and playing good ball.
I love reading the screed from the Red Sox fans who denigrated the Yankees' wins against Pittsburgh, saying that it was a sub-.500 team and they should have won those. If so, then what's Boston's excuse for getting waxed in two of three against Colorado, which got to .500 after taking the series in The Dump?

According to Red Sox fans, it's no big deal to beat up on crappy teams.
Apparently it is also no big deal to lose to them.
BTW, I think it's interesting you call Fenway "The Dump", considering they call Yankee Stadium "The Toilet". Boy, they sure are clever.
Hi again, Yankee fans - Mets fan returns !!! Beth, you were too gracious when you mentioned that the Mets would be a more formidable opponent than the Pirates....have you seen our record the past 3 weeks ??? LOL. Like I said, if your wish of Yankees winning at least 2 of the 3 Subway games comes true, I, as a Mets fan, would be thrilled based on how miserable we have played lately :)
I know I probably will be ex-communicated from "Mets Fan-dom" but I am also a realist. Yankees are killing everyone lately. Yeah, you took care of the lowly Pirates but you also did a nice job on the D-Backs. So with Clemens on the mound, ARod, Jeter and Posada hitting everything within 5 feet of the plate, Mets pitching imploding and our hitting abyssmal, I still am not sure I want to even watch tonite.
I would be a hypocrite if I did not still want the Mets to win tonite but I probably have a better chance of marrying Brad Pitt and having the body of Carmen Electra...ha!!! I love my Mets but I am also a realist.
Seriously good luck tonite guys. Yankees have worked hard to climb back and if I did not see it I would not believe it.
Have a good game.
Lee Ellen
Don't forget Matsui, Lee. He's hitting head high pitches out of the park lol.
BTW, I noticed on that pitch everyone said that they knew it was gone, but did anyone notice how Matsui was out of the box like his *** was on fire? lol no pimpin it there.
I work in MA but live in RI and on my way to work (I work 3rd shift) I was listening to red sox meltdown. I came in to work singing "7 and a half games, isn't it nice? Colorado whooped red sox *** tonight!" much to the annoyance of my co-workers. They are constantly talking trash to me. One guy came up to me about 4 weeks ago while I was wearing my Yankees hat and said "huh? That's interesting. I've never seen anyone wear toilet paper on their head..." Now it is my turn to gloat....I know I know, we're still 7-1/2 games behind but Man this team has been playing really well.
