ALDS 2006: New York Yankees vs. Detroit Tigers
Here we go. Drop the coin in the slot, strap the belt on and hold on to your underwear....it's playoff time. As far as the Yankees are concerned, they drew the weakest team, and probably the easiest series. But as we all know, what works on paper may not work in theory. I'm a little worried about RJ pitching Game 3 in Detroit, but we'd have Lidle coming in if he has to come out early, BUT he's going against Kenny Rogers AND RJ has pitched great in Detroit this season. If not for the pen blowing 2 games in the 9th inning, we would have swept them. So, I think we match up well against this team, and I'm hoping for the best. How well RJ does may very well depend on how well we do in Games 1 and 2. We really need Wang and Moose to be A++++ pitchers and we need the A++++ lineup out there too.
Series match-up:
Game 1: Wang vs. Robertson
Game 2: Mussina vs. Verlander
Game 3: Johnson vs. Rogers
*Game 4: Wright vs. Bonderman
*Game 5: Wang (?) vs. ?

The "weakest" team is the one with the smallest heart. Here is your best chance to be a crappy team like the Tigers next year: Jeter, Matsui, Guiel, Posada, Rivera, all new players.
