#14!  Excellent.  I said I wanted to move into the Top 15 following the move to WordPress and I’m happy to see that I’ve accomplished.  My thanks to those of you who continue to read this blog, and continue to visit and leave comments.  It’s always sincerely appreciated.

A 14! The most famous Yankee would probably be Lou Piniella.

CC won his start and Mo finished up the last out when the Angels scored their second run. Cano and A-Rod clouted a couple of homers and provided all the runs today. The bats are still cold to lukewarm this year.

Colon and Garcia really deserve a bonus from this point forward. I don’t think the Yankees expected either player to put up the numbers they have been this far into the season. Colon’s two-seamer is nasty with a lot of horizontal movement, while Garcia changes speeds and location. Hopefully Phil’s dead arm will recover by the All-Star break. I do not see him as a factor this year because of the condition.

Nova needs some big time help right now. His walk to K ratio is almost 1:1 and batters are hitting him for a .286 clip. Both issues plagued him at the minor league level as well. At this point he is a rookie starter, however it appears he might be better groomed to eat innings when we have a good lead.

Oh well, I hope the Yanks can win this series -more importantly the next one with the Sox starting Tuesday.
