Just three weeks to go until Opening Day! BTW, I apologize for my posts being scarce as of lately, I’ve had a lot of things going on at Casa de Yankees Chick, and haven’t had the time to devote to this blog as I would have liked. Things are starting to space themselves out, so I’m definitely excited about that.
Scarce posting? Well, if anyone is complaining about that, then they can start their own blog.
I went to mlb.com and saw this highlight title: “Doc dominates in duel with CC and Yankees.” Yes, the Yankees lost 7-0, but looking at the stats for CC and Doc, they look like this:
Doc: 6 IP 4H 0R 0ER 0BB 2K
CC: 5IP 3H 0R 0ER 0BB 2K
Stretch this out over a 9 inning game and this is how the numbers read:
Doc: 9IP 6H 0R 0ER 0BB 3K
CC : 9IP 5.4H 0R 0ER 0BB 3.4K
CC was actually more “dominant” in his 5 innings of work. Unfortunately the BP gave up the 7 runs. I guess the media really wants to play up the starting rotation for the Phillies. With Chase Utley out, they cannot afford to give up many runs.
