Well folks, we’re coming to the end of yet another fantastic year and another great season for me here at MLBlogs. I hope that 2011 proves to be the best year ever for you and yours, except for your baseball team — I want that for mine.
Enjoy yourselves, don’t drink and drive, don’t drink and be stupid, and most of all……stay safe. See you in 2011!
Happy New Year! I hope next year will be a better one. It appears that the Yankees have not made any big acquisitions this off season. With Pettitte leaning more toward retirement, I see a large gap in that starting rotation -if Andy is not back. We did get Russell Martin to assume the starting duty behind the plate -although I really like the way Gazoo fields and handles our pitchers. He did a heck of a job calling pitches and has an excellent grasp of the game for someone his age. Everyone raves about Montero, but from the numbers and the reports, he needs to make some big changes to make it as a catcher. Personally, I think calling a good game, working well with pitchers, and having a sound defensive game is very important for that position. Trully, I see Montero as DH material when Posada decides to hang it up.
As for Cliff Lee, oh well. If he wants to go back to the team that used him for the playoffs -then willingly dumped him to Seattle- that is his prerogative. See you in 2011. BTW, AJ better have a good year.

2011 is going to be an interesting season.
I am all for letting the Red Sox Nation push out their chest and rant and rave right now. Fans can boost a team, but they can not strap onthe cleats and win one for them.
Going to be another shootout in 2011, and one that I think might come down a lot closer than expected.
Toronto and Baltimore also are getting better and have a few weapons of their own.
162 games i a long time to win a pennant or division title. Never heard of onw that was sealed in Jamuary.
